Just finished watching a great video that talked about seo. It was not just focused on the seo for regular websites, it was describing a lot of different tools that are specific group is using to get ahead with marketing.
What is the special group? There is a large group of people moving from the affiliate marketing side of the business and getting into become product owners. The idea is to use the leverage of large ecommerce.
You might have heard of the big ecommerce site called amazon. There are plenty of people that belong to the amazon associates affiliate marketing program. Becoming an affiliate is easy and that is what is attractive to lots of people. Most probably wouldn't consider building a business using amazon as a platform.
Amazon FBA ( Fulfillment by Amazon ) is really starting to catch on. The video focused on some of the different marketing methods that people are using to get ahead with driving traffic to amazon product pages.
Search engine optimization was the key topic at hand and the presentation jumped from topic to topic. Buying websites, setting up blogs and different types of content were quickly discussed.
The topic of spinning content also popped up. There are software programs that can take one piece of content and create multiple versions. You are in the content business, so it helps to know some of the ideas that are floating around.
The topic of linking was also really interesting. The updates from the search engines is keeping a lot of people on their toes. Focusing on creating quality content should still be job one. Some marketers are not interested in created lots of super high quality content. For some purposes low quality content works.
